Botulinum Toxin Injections (BOTOX®)
Hyperactivity of the facial expression muscles often results in the development of lines and wrinkles around the face and causes us to look older than we feel. Anti-wrinkle injections have been safely and effectively used for the treatment of a variety of functional medical disorders since the 1980s. Anti-wrinkle treatment has been formally approved for cosmetic use to reduce these lines and exaggerated facial expression. The injections temporarily inactivates the underlying muscles responsible for for wrinkling, giving the face a more relaxed and pleasant appearance. As this lines and wrinkles are developed over a number of years during wich an individual has performed thousands of repetitive facial expressions. These injections are not just smoothing this lines they are generally felt to serve as a form of preventive maintanace.

|Forehead and glabella||Excessive frowning, squinting and concentrating can result in frown lines and forehead lines sometimes giving an angry appearance. Treatment can smooth away the lines and still leave some expression, no frozen look is created.|
|Brow lift||Brow lifts can be done non surgically resulting in arched eye brows and a much fresher look.|
|Eyes||The eyes are a the windows of our soul and are the first to give away our age. As we age the brows drop and lines start to from around the eyes also known as crows feet. With botox these lines can be softened or even completely removed. If the lines are very deep then the treatment might be combined with dermal fillers to give an even smoother appearance.|
|Mouth||Wrinkles above and around the lips can appear over time due to ordinary lip muscle movement. However factors like sunlight, smoking and stress can also accelerate this process. These lines best known as smoker lines can be softened and result in a more youthful appearance of the lips.|
|Vertical or horizontal lines on the neck/platysma||You all know the saying "you look as young as you feel", but the neck and the hands are giving the age away. The neck cords wich run vertically down the neck and can be relaxed with a few injections using a very small amount of product. This stops them from contracting and creating folds in the neck. Combining treatment in this area with the face can give an even, superior result.|
|Excessive Sweating (Armpits)||Anti-wrinkle injection treatment helps control the symptoms of severe underarm sweating, when topical medicines do not work well enough, by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands don’t receive chemical signals, the severe sweating stops. The injections are expected to temporarily stop the production of excessive sweat in the treated areas only. Sweat continues to be produced elsewhere. Where does the sweat go? Your sweat doesn't go anywhere or get backed up because the sweat simply is not produced in the areas treated. Remember, the rest of your body is free to produce moisture normally.|
|Bruxism/Jaw Muscle Reduction||Bruxism represents involuntary movements of the jaw muscles, resulting in tooth grinding and clenching. Generally it occurs during sleep, but occasionally can be present during the day, so called awake bruxism. Bruxism is a common condition, affecting approximately 8% of all people. It is not known what causes bruxism but it may result in tooth damage, jaw pain, headaches, poor quality sleep and may bother your partner's sleep at night due to the tooth grinding noise. Inkjections are applied into the jaw which weakens the muscles. It can cause the eventual atrophy (loss of muscle size) in those muscles. Patients report great pain relief, less jaw soreness, tension and headaches. They are also seeing a dramatic change in the way that their face looks. The square, severe appearance of their lower face softens into a more normal and aesthetically pleasing jaw line.|
